Marvel vs. Capcom 3?!

IGN reports that at Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President of Production , was asked if a new Marvel vs. Capcom game was possible someday. His reply:

“Yes. And maybe sooner than you think.”

IGN goes on to say that a Capcom under-production title, probably for Japan release only, could provide the guts for the game, allowing it to be turned around in a relatively short time.

Perfect World Beta

If you’ve seen the tailer for Perfect World, you may be excited to know that the the U.S. can now join in on the Beta.

From what I can tell, the game looks to be graphically pretty, but as far as how the game actually is and how it plays I am yet to know. I guess I will be going here and finding out myself. If anyone wants to join me, comment below and let’s play!!

Nintendo Says, “These are not officially licensed products. “

There are some Wii Balance Boards out there that are way less than family friendly.

“These are not officially licensed products, we always recommend the use of official first or third party Nintendo products to ensure 100 per cent compatibility and reliability with our hardware. We always closely monitor new products entering the market to ensure that they do not infringe on any of our IP.”

Well, Nintendo, these products will probably help the Wii. As much as we try to deny it, the truth of the matter is sex sells. As much as I wish we could rely more on depth and quality, slap a half naked chick on something and more people look at it. So, while Nintendo products may ensure 100% compatibility, the unofficial half naked chick will probably win a lot of hearts.

Boards such as the one above can be purchased on Amazon for $20.

WipEout HD Delayed

WipEout HD has been delayed..and..

The reason for the delay of WipEout HD on PS3 has been due to the many improvements we have been making and the numerous features we’ve added to the game. These include: 8 reverse tracks, 4 extra ships, 2 alternative HUDS, 2 Player offline split screen and XMB Trophy support. We look forward to sharing WipEout HD with you very soon.

Regarding the speculation about health issues, we can assure you that we take consumer safety very seriously and monitor it very carefully.

Aw, they care about our health. :)

Ninja Gaiden Missions Postponed

Ninja Gaiden missions went live today on XBox Live and then were shortly removed due to several bugs. The new downloadable content had 24 added challenges for $10. The bugs included Achievement issues as well as some freezing problems. Microsoft is going to continue to test the content over the weekend and  expected to be placed back on the Marketplace on Monday.

Sigh.

Tron 2 Revealed at Comic-Con

Disney revealed the debut trailer for Tron 2 today at Comic-Con.

Just when the bearded man thinks he has evaded his foe, the black-and-green cyclist bolts out in front of him. The bearded man screams as he crashes through his foe’s Light Cycle trail, smashing into a virtual wall of colored light. His Cycle destroyed, the bearded man lies broken and beaten as his opponent approaches him.

The trailer then cuts to the real world where we see an older Kevin Flynn — yes, once again played by Jeff Bridges! — rising to his feet inside of a virtual reality computer room and holding a device in his hand. Bearded and with his longish silvery hair slicked back, Flynn is far more menacing and cold than he ever seemed in the 1982 original.

Cut back to inside the game world where the victorious Light Cyclist’s helmet visor flickers open to reveal Flynn’s face. His defeated opponent whimpers, “But it’s only a game,” to which Flynn cryptically replies, “Not anymore.” The trailer then cuts to the sequel’s logo: TR2N.

The crowd was told that no more footage from the film would be seen publicly until next year, closer to the film’s release.

I loved the original Tron so I hope that I won’t be disappointed. There are some high standards for me for this to work. Did anyone play Tron the video game? I absolutely loved it and wish I still had it in my collection. Man, why did I get rid of that game?

What are your memories of Tron?

Miyamoto Confirms New Mario & Zelda Games

“Making these ‘traditional’ games is what I am best at. Because games of that nature take upwards of two or three years to make, we always have to keep the teams working on those projects going. At any given time, the team could be five to ten people, or it could be 50-plus. People are always switching in and out of those teams.”

“They are all working on more Mario, Zelda and Pikmin projects,” he said. “And they all work in close proximity to me, so I can keep a good eye on them.”

So while we were disappointed that we didn’t hear any Mario or Zelda at E3, they are definitely being worked on. YAY! We were not forgotten about after all.
